Smart PPR announced as founding partner of InnovateGA

Smart PPR, the online Prior Permission Required (PPR) and airfield management platform for general aviation, is proud to announce that it has joined InnovateGA as one of the organisation’s founding partners.

InnovateGA is a coalition of software developers, technology providers, and aviation businesses dedicated to advancing innovation across the UK general aviation sector. The initiative brings together organisations committed to developing reliable, connected, and modern digital solutions for pilots, operators, airfield managers, and aviation stakeholders.

As a founding partner, Smart PPR will play an active role in supporting InnovateGA’s mission to encourage collaboration, promote interoperability between aviation technologies, and help shape the future of digital transformation within general aviation.

Since its launch, Smart PPR has focused on simplifying and modernising the PPR process for airfields and pilots through its cloud-based platform. The system helps airfields manage visitor requests, streamline operations, improve communication, and enhance the overall experience for pilots visiting participating locations.

“Joining InnovateGA as a founding partner represents an exciting opportunity for Smart PPR and the wider aviation community,” said Simon Fewkes-Ahearne at Smart PPR. “General aviation is evolving rapidly, and collaboration between technology providers is essential to creating a more connected, efficient, and user-friendly ecosystem. We are delighted to support InnovateGA’s vision and look forward to working alongside fellow members to drive innovation across the sector.”

InnovateGA aims to foster closer cooperation between aviation technology companies while advocating for standards, best practices, and solutions that deliver tangible benefits to the general aviation community.

The partnership reflects Smart PPR’s ongoing commitment to supporting innovation, improving operational efficiency for airfields, and helping pilots access simpler, more streamlined digital services.
