Smart PPR and VFR Wise Integration Makes PPR & Booking Out Faster

Smart PPR and VFR Wise are pleased to announce a new partnership and integration designed to make requesting Prior Permission Required (PPR) and booking-out services simpler for pilots across the UK.

Through the integration of smartppr.co.uk with vfrwise.co.uk, pilots using VFR Wise can now access direct links to Smart PPR’s subscribed airfields when browsing airfields or planning a flight. Where an airfield is supported by Smart PPR, pilots can quickly access the relevant PPR or booking-out request service directly from VFR Wise.

The integration brings the PPR process closer to the point at which pilots are already researching and planning their flights, reducing the need to leave the flight-planning workflow and separately search for an airfield’s PPR arrangements.

PPR, where you need it

For many UK airfields, obtaining PPR is an essential part of flight planning. However, finding the correct PPR process, website or contact details can sometimes add unnecessary friction to the planning process.

The new VFR Wise and Smart PPR integration is designed to make that process more straightforward.

When browsing an airfield on VFR Wise, or planning a flight that includes a participating airfield, users can follow the Smart PPR link to access the appropriate PPR or booking-out request service.

This provides pilots with:

Direct access to PPR and booking-out services for participating airfields
Faster access while planning a flight without having to search separately for the airfield’s PPR arrangements
A more streamlined flight-planning workflow from airfield research through to PPR
Links to Smart PPR’s subscribed airfields, helping pilots identify where an online PPR service is available

Pilots can browse airfields, plan flights and, where available, access the relevant Smart PPR PPR or booking-out service directly.
