Major platform update launched with redesigned dashboard, enhanced statistics and new aircraft mapping

We are pleased to announce a major suite of product developments and updates designed to make managing airfield PPRs faster, easier and more informative for airfield operators.

The latest release introduces a completely redesigned dashboard, a significantly expanded Statistics module, new quick-entry tools for PPRs and outbound movements, and a brand-new map visualisation that provides airfields with a clearer picture of where visiting aircraft are coming from.

The updates have been developed around a simple objective: put the information airfields need most directly in front of them, while making everyday tasks quicker to complete.

A new dashboard built around today

The Smart PPR dashboard has been redesigned from the ground up to provide a more relevant snapshot of an airfield’s current and upcoming activity.

The new dashboard makes it easier to see the information that matters most for the day ahead, including:

  • More relevant information relating to today’s activity
  • Easier-to-view operational statistics
  • Faster access to unpaid PPR requests
  • The next expected arrival
  • The next expected departure
  • A clearer overview of current and upcoming movements
  • Quick access to frequently used PPR tools

The result is a dashboard that gives airfield teams a much quicker understanding of what is happening, without having to navigate through multiple areas of the system.

Quick PPR and Quick Outbound

Smart PPR has also introduced new quick-entry facilities for airfields that need to add movements quickly.

Quick PPR allows an airfield to create a PPR simply by entering the aircraft registration, helping reduce the amount of information that needs to be entered manually.

Similarly, Quick Outbound provides a fast way to record an outbound movement using the aircraft registration.

These new facilities are designed for situations where speed and simplicity are particularly important, helping airfield staff record movements with fewer steps.

Reports becomes Statistics — with significantly more insight

The existing Reports module has been renamed Statistics to better reflect its expanded purpose.

Statistics now provides substantially more information and gives airfields a broader view of their activity and performance.

The enhanced module includes:

  • Trends to help identify changes in activity over time
  • Peak periods to understand when airfield activity is highest
  • Financial information
  • Expanded reporting and data views
  • More detailed movement information
  • Flexible date-range filtering
  • Filtering by year
  • Filtering by month ranges
  • Improved visual presentation of airfield data

The new Statistics area is designed to make it easier for airfields to move beyond simply managing individual PPRs and start using their operational data to understand activity over time.

New aircraft origin map

One of the most significant additions is a completely new aircraft origin map visualisation.

The new map allows airfields to see where visiting aircraft are coming from, presented visually on an easy-to-understand map.

Alongside the map, associated statistics provide additional context around the aircraft and movements being displayed.

This gives airfields a new way to explore their traffic, identify common origins and understand the geographic reach of their visiting aircraft.

Rather than relying solely on lists or tables, the new visualisation provides an immediate geographic overview of traffic into an airfield.

Designed to make Smart PPR easier to use

Together, these developments represent a significant step forward for SmartPPR.

The new dashboard focuses on what is happening now and next.

Quick PPR and Quick Outbound focus on getting movements recorded faster.

The expanded Statistics module focuses on understanding activity and trends.

And the new map provides a more visual way to understand where aircraft are coming from.

Smart PPR continues to develop its platform around the practical needs of airfields, with the aim of providing tools that reduce administration while giving operators better information about their airfield activity.

Available now

The new dashboard, Quick PPR, Quick Outbound, expanded Statistics functionality and aircraft origin map are now available as part of the latest Smart PPR platform updates.

SmartPPR is a great idea! This sort of innovation is much needed in our industry, and the way they do it just simplifies the process for all. I hope more airfields adopt this so that it can become the standard way to do PPR.
